Wondering if this is even worth my time. I been struggling to find new friends and also trying to not revert back to same old men that i honest have no idea what they're intention are or ever where. So many lies i feel from them already and they not even out of the pen yet so I'm like telling myself don't waist my time. They still need to work on themselves so now im in here looking for others sober, looking for friendship and possibilities of relationships with a right dude but i am open to friends with both genders as with sobriety comes new better habits and friends hopefully lol
i got the better habits down so far. Even a workout buddy got a little gym at my apartment

Were are you from Chantreal ?
Leaving the old crowd behind is the best move, tbh. It takes a minute to build a completely new circle, but there are definitely people on here looking for the same kind of healthy friendships. We’re all here. I’m here. Send me dm anytime

CONGRATULATIONS
on your 458 days of sobriety.
Beautiful moved here 2 yeafrom Florida rs ago
Working out has helped in my recovery. Keep it going
You’re not wasting ur time but it does take forever to even become “close” with someone online. I’m new on this app so I’m hoping it’s not a bunch of bots and catfishing, ya know?
It takes time to find a new healthier group of people to surround yourself in. Keep searching, you will find some likeminded healthy people to hangout with
Here’s something I’ve tried and it’s working well for me.
I started attending meetings in my area on a regular basis. I drank because I was isolated lonely. What I e found is that as I attended meetings, over time, the loneliness departed. I could be in my own presence and not feel lonely. I soon made it a point to extend myself to other new people who would visit the meetings I attend. Some visited and never returned. Others stayed for a while never to be seen again, and a small few still attend. Within about 4 months I came to realize that I was no longer isolated. In retrospect, I offered to others the very thing I was desiring and before I knew it (6 months in) I have a great network of friends.
When it comes to dating I’ve decided I will give myself a year of successful living and thinking before I consider if I will date anyone. I don’t want to date anyone who’s jacked up and immature, so I need to first have my life together before I can be with someone. I believe we choose people from the same pond we are in. So if I want a higher caliber of person in my life I need to first be in the right environment spiritually, mentally, financially, and emotionally.
I’m willing to be friends with you. I don’t lie and I don’t accept lies or excuses. I give brutal honesty, lol. I also keep my mouth shut a lot
Hey
We're are you from Chantreal Neubrand
No your not go to meetings, from my experience my closest friends I have made this month. They are in the fellowship.
Hey it’s always worth finding true friends
I’m always looking for sober friends. It’s lonely when you’re trying to find a new identity and figure out who you are.
Hey friend from Alabama
Start with the women at your local meeting. When I started I shook hands took phone numbers and main phone calls. I also stayed away from the women cuz they called me nothing but problems and grief at the time.
