And... even in therapy, those other assholes still push us into drinking, too.
Agreed!
Today I choose not to allow the actions or inactions of others push me to drink. I take my power back as only I get to decide how I’m going to react. This is something I need to be mindful of every day, because some aholes really know how to push.
I saw where you posted that and really really liked it
I think you are correct about people in therapy... they just keep your mind circling, and your mouth watering, about that alcohol... sorry to say it also but it is the truth. They only stick with one roll, I think that they all think everyone is the same so they think one way? everyone's the same? so they stick you in a group where one person thinks they can cure 15 - 20 people make em into their self there experience that to me is not helping or finding the problem? They go on about there problem. If that is what you meant hahaha.
I agree with SoberinSoFlo, he worded it much more nice.
Nobody forced me to drink. I did that myself.
Gotta fix me, can't fix anyone else.
Couldn't say it any better, facts lol
Crazy never even considered this but ummm yeah totally… when I was in rehab I kept saying to myself why am I here and not the toxic people who’ve screwed me over in the past but it ended up being the best thing for me at the end of the day
Lol true but still funny
Hahaha love it
Interestingly, I found out that most of those people who drove me to therapy did this amazing disappearing act once I got sober. I really don't trust my perception of their words, actions and behaviors against me as my drunk past is so, so foggy. It may seem cliche, but I'm finding that replacing the old and painful people, places and things with their almost exaggerated opposites has been my solution. I have recently made friends that hug me and say they love me when I leave...without ever being prompted to do so! New friends that celebrate me and I do the same with them. It could be because now I cast off the vibe of needing soul lovers instead of predators. Keep up the real fight of being real
