Anxiety

My anxiety is terrible the last few days and I feel like it’s knocked me off track.. I had to post to remind myself I’m part of this new community and I need to engage in it to stay successful.

Any tips to shake nerves?

For me I have to stay busy. I work A LOT. I also am in recovery mode 24/7. I go to lots of meetings, spend time with my recovery family constantly, always in service. I never take a day away. You got this!

Have you ever tried box breathing. I have anxiety and depression as well and I do it all the time it really helps.

I slowly breathe through my mouth like I’m breathing through a straw. Holding my breath in my stomach.

Slowly breathe in for four seconds while listening to your heartbeat then slowly blow out for four seconds while listening to your heartbeat don’t breathe for four seconds while listening to your heartbeat then slowly breathe back in for four seconds while listening to your heartbeat.

Repeat it about three times. it really helps.
