Just finally got through some nasty withdrawals. Any advice on to keep away now that I’m feeling better? Now that my mind is clear I’m dealing with all the anxiety of the past week. Any advice?
Exercise and sunlight. I also like to watch comedy movies or standup when I’m feeling anxious or depressed.
I also agree with Schrödinger, meditation does wonders.
Keep hydrated. Meditation, eat well, exercise. The anxiety will mellow out in time, as long as you allow yourself to forgive yourself. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Find a program of some sort. And keep reaching out.
Mindfulness! For me it’s walking my dogs without headphones. Or a good hike.
Find something healthy that you love doing. I’ve learned I’ve got to move or that depression and anxiety set in and then I’m slipping. Congrats on getting through the withdrawals! That stuff sucks
Another thing that helps me is a jacuzzi! If you can find access to one. Calms the nervous system.
Another easier/quicker method is a cold towel around your neck. I find that exposure to hot/cold in some form helps!
Get your relapse prevention plan down on paper and keep it with you . Good luck
