I also replace forgiveness with acceptance.

I have experienced bouts of it throughout my sobriety and my experience is that the more I resist it the worse it gets. For me, there is usually fear behind it and a lack of trust in God. What has helped me is listening to recordings of AA speakers, Step 11 and meetings
