Any tips for motivation and energy??
When you wake up in the morning find something that shows your reflection and say this. "(Your name) I am so glad you woke up today and got out of bed. I love you so much and you are beautiful (your name). Today is going to have it's problems and worries. I may fall or make a mistake but as long as I keep getting up I know I can find victory in the day. I will not let yesterdays mistakes or tomorrows worries hold me back from what I can achieve today. I will reach out when I feel the urge and remind myself that it's not race but a WALK. Now (your name) you are strong, beautiful person and I will own the day and not let it own me." When we start the morning off on a positive note and let ourselves know we believe in US. We are preparing ourselves for battle and know that we can do this. You are not alone and everyone I smile at today will know I have hope. Best to you and hope this helped.
That is perfect, thankyou

I say healthy diet. Being clean gives you energy. Drink nothing but water and get some movement.
My motivation comes from remembering all the times I forgot. All the moments in my life and periods of time that are just an absolute blur. The lack of hangovers really is bliss. The need/want for a hair of the dog. The times I put myself and many others in danger, to an extreme level. The money and time absolutely wasted. I used to try and convince myself that I did some good and helped some people along the way, but to what extent? I think about the way that I'll be able to safely help people without being in dangerous and toxic situations. I remind myself that without sobriety the little bit of money I do have would be non existent because I would have drank and partied it away. Sober days are tough but any bad day sober is Soo much better than a good day drunk. Remind yourself of the dangers and pain that seems like "it wasn't that bad" and ask yourself, if you had a choice would you choose to have placed yourelf there? The words that you didn't mean, the hearts that were broken, the friends and family that were left to worry and fear for your future, or if you even had one. Wake up everyday and give thanks for that moment that you opened your eyes and were able to take that breath in this beautiful world. Close your eyes and say thanks for the day, all the blessings and lessons that came and let the universe or whoever know that you are thankful for that but you are done and ready for the gift of rest. Remember the little things, if you have food and water and possibly shelter and maybe even the blessing orlf a bed or better yet a room with a door, electricity, hot water... if you got it check, clothes? check, a closet and or drawers....check. We sometimes forget how nice these things are or have never been in situations where those things are not present and are not thankful.
All in all be thankful for the little things and remind yourself that being sober wasn't even in the picture before, remember the bad things and situations that occured purely due to substances. Be diligent and active in your recovery, journal, meditate, read, try meetings and get sober friends and mentors.
It does get better. One minute at a time some days.
