Anyone else have nightmares about being black out drunk and trying to explain it to your friends and family that you didn’t mean too and it’s not what you think and feel soo guilty and when you wake up it feels soo real
Yes but I hate the dreams soo much. The guilt feeling when I wake up sticks with me
The other night, I dreamt that they made me take a breathalyzer at work…and I failed it
I couldn’t figure out how I failed it and I pleaded for them to believe me.
I can feel this! In my dreams I’m pleading for them to believe me I’m not drunk
Been sober 8 months . Lately I have been having a lot of vivid nightmares of drinking and using. It's crazy how our mind works. But realizing nine of it is real is awesome.
Ugh yes, those dreams suck! I usually dream that I’m drunk and then have just crippling disappointment in myself.
When I wake up though, it’s a good reminder of how I DONT want to feel!
I've had a couple dreams of relapsing, but my biggest fear is when I'll take a drink of Liquid Death (Its a sparkling water drink) I'll sometimes freak out and think it's beer. Idk why my brain does that sometimes but I guess it's it's way of getting better and not wanting to relapse
Idk, I'm weird...
Yeah Dude
Haha some time I associate my bang energy drinks with sparkling seltzers so I feel that
Yep! It’s crazy!!! The dreams are so much more “life-like” now too. I’m always like - “How did this happen?! I’m sober I swear!” Lol
Exactly makes you realize how severe your alcohol problem really was
Yes! I feel all y’all! The bad dreams are so awful! But they do start to subside once your brain works on new neural pathways. And Taylor, you are spot-on about how it makes you realize how severe your problem is with alcohol. It was an eye opener for me.
All the time but the best part is when you wake up and realize it was just a nightmare and your sober
Yes for the fear to be that severe and it to be a nightmare to replay in a dream and relive the feelings it makes your reality soo Crystal clear
