Anyone else have wierd a$$ dreams after they get back on the wagon or is it just me?

Pretty common actually. The first 4 months of sobriety was wicked vivid dreams.
I have 4 months sober and had a drug dream for sure
You are not alone, I kept waking up and then dreaming it all over last night… been up for about an hour now.
I sure do. Probably just getting used to real sleep again I would guess.
I was sober for 4 months. Went on a 2 week bender. Sober again. And I keep having dreams of my ex husband and ex boyfriend I’m like what the heck lol

Oh yeah. Fairly common for sobriety. As time passes they lessened for me.

Definitely. I could do without them but hey I'm sleeping not passing out anymore. Melatonin makes them more vivid too.
All the time. I wake up wondering whether or not I drank or used all the time. Lots of other wierd dreams. Thankfully nothing bad or scary though. A lot more sexy stuff than before too, haha.
Oh ya, your body is going through changes and weird dreams are apart of them.
I’ve been sober and happy for over a year and I’ll randomly have drinking dreams. I feel regret and remorse, then I wake up to find that it was just a dream!! Well…. More like a nightmare.
Yup especially In early sobriety and withdrawal. Totally normal, it’s actually your brain adjusting to working without your substance and the disease fighting to keep relevant
Dude that happened to me to 
I was having them in rehab. They put me on campral to decrease cravings and dreams. I really thought of it as a placebo but when I quit taking it months later the dreams started again.
The mental detox is much longer than the physical one. In our disease we don't dream much because we aren't getting that deep rest we need when we enter REM sleep. I don't know the science behind it but it's a part of the process. Especially for cocaine users. I had really bad nightmares for a while.
For almost a year I had dreams of drinking but the nightmares I had were insane. I could of filmed some crazy scary movies with my thoughts. At 6 years now and the nightmares are seldom and drinking dreams hardly ever.

I usually can just wake myself up if dream is turning south but a few months after I quit drinking I kept having these, I called them atonement dreams. I would sit there in my dream and get talked to by ny ex wife and ex girlfriends. Ex teachers ex friends you name it. It was brutal and I could not wake myself up. I mean hours…I guess I was trying to atone my guilt who knows. The brain is an amazing thing. After a while they stop.
