Anyone ever feel so good about not using but on

Anyone ever feel so good about not using but on the other hand feel so down because your waiting for and expecting your world to come crashing down again ?

Hi Phil, the reality is that life is life, and there will be ups and downs, but those downs are waaay easier to cope with sober. Things get better when we’re sober because we get better when we’re sober. I know that feeling of waiting for the shoe to drop, but you cannot sit in expectation for something bad to happen, you have to live your life and enjoy the goodness of it.

I got some of that. I’m on the defensive side at times. I try to remember this thought / event will pass, I’m not in charge of the outcomes in most things, and if when it does crash down on me I have a way to respond/ heal that works every time. Try to stay honest with yourself and others. Maybe there is someone at work you can talk about your shiit with. This is usually easier than letting it build up or trying to keep a front up all the time. I don’t know if there is some few specific things you are in fear/ apprehension of, if so explore them on paper and see if anyone is willing to talk about it with you. A lot of people will give you room to be human if you let them.

On another topic, I’m in maintenance also, I do apartments. You?

I know it sounds counter productive, but learning to be grateful for challenge as that is how we grow, and change, and get better. Learning to live life on life’s terms, and trusting the outcomes will be ok.

This is where sabotage begins! And you can self sabotage for a multitude of reasons....everyone has their own, whether it be feelings of unworthiness or your just so used to never having anything good in your life or whatever. The point is, is good things are not familiar to us and when things are unfamiliar it's uncomfortable, even though it was complete chaos, that was familiar. So naturally we tend to self sabotage. Don't let this happen!! Stay in tune with your moments of clarity and your awakening's and when you feel like things should be going south, remember to pause...and remind yourself that this is part of your healing process and that you deserve to be in a better place and make a better life for yourself and the ppl who love you!!
