I live near Baltimore and work in DC. A few of my sober friends live in Northern VA. There is a great recovery scene in that area. Many more options for meetings of all types and sober activities then I have in Baltimore

Hey now, Baltimore's sober scene is fantastic! We cover all the options pretty thoroughly in regards to meetings and activities.
I don't think he was knocking what is in Baltimore just that there are even more options in NOVA DC...I tend to agree having done both.
But hey I am moving to Baltimore in a month and a half, maybe you can show me otherwise.

I’m not knocking Bmore. I’ve lived around here most of my life. I’ve just been really impressed with the sober Scene around northern VA. Particularly the number of sober hangout spots and group activities outside of meetings. Maybe you can share some knowledge that I don’t have about Bmore. I know there are plenty of AA meetings, but I haven’t seen much beyond that… for example when you search sober activities on Meetup there is a ton of options in NVA but few to none near Bmore.
Also, I’m 41, and I’ve had a hard time finding people around my age at meetings. I’m the old guy at younger meetings and the young guy at most others

Hi McKenna; I’m also in the NoVA area. There are tons of great meetings and AA fellowship in the Arlington and Fairfax area!
Hey girl! I’m in Haymarket, VA so I’m right down the road ! New to the app but I’ve got 450 days sober and also looking for sober ppl to hang with! Got sober in Florida while in school but Virginia is somewhat new sobriety stomping ground for me and haven’t quite found my crowd yet !
