While I don't live in Indianapolis, I do fly in to visit family in Columbus and Scottsburg. It can be difficult when you not only loose your real true love - alcohol in any form - alcohol, drugs, relationships, food, etc. The simple question you have to ask yourself is I can't continue to the chaos of my addiction and I don't wants to die. Whenever we put any substance that alters our brain we find that we cannot stop until it is gone. Then we got to find more, The biggest reason for a sponsor is they have alot of time not being sober and time being sober. Somehow we have to learn how to have fun without our true love. It feels like a divorce and we don't know how to deal with our feelings anymore. I never thought I would ever be involved in AA but I tried everything else. Their was nothing else I could do. But I was all in while in my full time job feeding my addiction, now I have to somehow put that same energy into my recovery. We are chronic alcoholics and have to be all I'm
in, half measures won't work. We have to be instructed and taught how to.do almost everything as we have to recreate our selves
