Nice! I’m stoked to get involved with some good sober friends. I lived in Austin a few years ago and I just love the sober community there. I had to go to AA because of a DWI, so I was basically forced, lol! Oh man, don’t miss that! Love the meetings, for sure.

I got my DWI last year. Said I was gonna take a break from drinking then I got a PI then I said I was gonna be completely sober - then thought hmmm maybe Incan have a few… well got black out drunk and got arrested again just this past weekend. It been a struggle. I still haven’t gotten my sentencing for the dwi yet. And inhave zero sober friends haha

Oh, dude. I have 3. 1st when I was 19 (asleep while the keys were in the ignition, ayayay) then another in my early twenties then another when I was 29. Sooooo, yeah. Sorry you’re going through that. It’s awesome that your deciding enough is enough. Have you heard of the phoenix? It’s an app that has groups who do sober fun things together! I just joined so when I go there I have good people to hang with.

And I know what you mean about the no sober friends thing. Have you been to any meetings yet? I like aa and refuge recovery…I haven’t tried smart recovery but it sounds cool

I have the phoenix app and attempted to go earlier in the year but chickened out. It I also work retail so getting to meeting is tough. I just signed up for a CrossFit gym here in San Marcos… so I’m hoping this will help in a way. I am invited to a meeting (AA) Thursday so I can see what it’s like. Other than that haven’t been to any support groups.

I live in killeen, tomorrow is my first court appearance for my dui in April. Have expensive lawyer from Houston. I still believe I'm gonna get hammered for Dui. Didnt blow, but the police also didn't take blood so IDK. I just want my sentence to stop bleeding money to my lawyer. Ill be around If you need anything. I did my rehabe at Rocksprings in Georgetown lol.

I go to AA alot, my homegrown is Delta here in Killeen, I also go to the one in Georgetown which is called the white house.

I’m in Schertz. My home group is Acceptance and I’d be happy to meet you at a meeting in San Marcos some time. You’re only about 30 minutes from me.
