Try a local AA or NA, or local sobriety club or center. I'm sure Pasadena area has much better options locally than on here.

If you're looking to interact and NOT 13th step try the 1118 Club at 1118 Allen Ave in Pasadena or the AA directory.
If you're looking to 13th step I wish you luck as relapse is right around the corner..
You're still a newcomer, work on yourself first before you destroy someone else, you ought to know better than that especially if you're trying to be an alcohol/drug counselor.

Yeah. Notice I said PEOPLE to interact with, not chicks to hook up with. I just don’t get a real connection on social media. I’m 47 years old. I grew up making friends in person

I would keep posting because people are on at different times. I hope you're able to find people people to connect with in person. It's OK to have a preference to be able to meet people in person some feel more comfortable over social media so it's all just what you feel comfortable with. And that's OK.
