Anyone else playing "whack-a-mole" in early sobriety? I am 24 days sober and now turning too binge eating. It's grotesque. Going to the grocery store now gives me the same guilt and fear as when I would go to the liquor store. Will this pass?
Grocery stores allowing beer took me out this lady time. I’m in Pa and we never use to sell alcohol in stores. Now it’s like every other state. Sux. Yet I’m over it.
It’ll pass, but you need to work on developing better habits. You feed it, it’ll grow. I’m 2 years sober and still will binge eat a couple months out of the year, so easy to get into those emotional eating habits.
It was normal for me. 117 days sober. 20+ lbs heavier but it is temporary. I'm lost 12 lbs and still losing. I thought I'm better off 20 lbs heavy than 20 days drunk.
It will go back to normal. Best of luck
It's proven that if you stop one addiction you will pick up another. Mine is/was photography, always been my hobby. I don't have camera currently, so it's a little tougher, find a hobby you love and do that, it keeps you busy so you don't think of food
