There are several of us here who have multiple diagnoses. It seems often times mental illness and self medication go hand in hand. Addiction fools us into believing that is can correct the imbalance, when in reality it creates more issues.

Yes was struggling the past 6 years and decided to change everything. I quit my jobs and put myself in rehab, then long term in patient, now I’m in a reentry apartment with 7 months clean. Best decision I ever made. I left everything behind and started all over.
Never been diagnosed with mental illness, but as somebody who had a major cocaine addiction I can say that it’s impossible to do coke regularly and not lose your mind. It’s crazy the stuff I did when I was in active addiction. Wish you all the best!

I’m struggling with uppers alcoholism and mental health… can’t seam to get past a week or two sober

All 3 and I hit the booze and blow hard for a decade. My
Mental health is 100 times better since quiting drugs and alcohol , put the work in and it’ll change your life. You got this!
