Criminal minds has good quotes, but I did not expect the term 'wheels up' to resonate with me like it did, and here is why:
"Scratch" is a bad guy/criminal... to me, the "bad guy" is the substances/drugs/addiction.
Wheels up because recovery is not easy, but if you really want it, you'll be on that plane buckled in and ready to face the reality, the trauma, and fears.
Wheels up during the urges/cravings because they are so hard to fight.
Wheels up to the other recovering addicts like me because I know they are fighting like me too.
