April was the worst month I’ve had in a long time, I relapsed after a few years of sobriety, it only lasted 3 weeks but all the plans I had got crushed, I missed birthdays I missed Easter, I hurt a handful of people. It’s true what they say you pick up right where you left off.

Relapses are hard and painful as you wrote, Nicholas. I hope you are sober today and return to that path. What made you pick up again after a few years of sobriety?

I’m not sure, it was the timing of it all, feeling heartbroken. The right phone call and availability. Basically I wanted to, but now that I’ve gotten past it, it has lit a new fire up under me, I’ve been sober 2 and a half weeks. I didn’t lose anything but money and time.
I have a new sense to some things, it was definitely humbling.
