As a tween/teen, I used to steal cigarettes from my grandfather. I took money out of his wallet and out of mom’s purse. I dabbled in shoplifting. I lied about my age to get into the 21+ clubs.
In my twenties, I caused a car accident and fled the scene…and because I was driving father’s car, they showed up to arrest him and I was willing to quietly let them take him.
Ten years ago, at the ripe old age of 35, I was fired from a job for drinking a bottle of scotch (that I had in the bottom drawer of the desk) and falling down stairs, all before ten am on a Tuesday morning.
Today, I have nearly a decade in recovery, and completed a course in professional ethics so I can properly help others to recover.
