Asked and answered

It's always the first question from sober curious people.
"How do you stay sober"
The answer is quite simple but seems to miss the mark with so many.
It's literally
"One day at a time".
I'm not gonna drink today, I have no plan to drink tomorrow.

For me, it is move a muscle change of thought. I stay in the solution today. if I have a negative thought I shake my head and think of me shaking my head like a cookie jar I’m emptying out the negative thoughts. Shaking my head, I move a muscle breaking that psychic change of mental obsession thinking about that negative thought. Then I start putting positive thoughts in my head, filling up that cookie jar. With tools to help me pick NOT up that drink or drug.

So for me move a muscle change of thought break that psychic change

I love this! A fellow mind over matter person!!
I use breathing. The air goes in my nose and into my head removing the bad thought...carries it down to my stomach...then I exhale the negativity out of my mouth ..
I thought I was unique!
