At 6 months sober, I stood on top of Eldfell

At 6 months sober, I stood on top of Eldfell volcano on a small island off the coast of Iceland. It was cathartic.

Today, at 38 months, I’m home - wrapped in warm blankets, watching Netflix after a hard day.

Volcano-top courage and wrapped-in-blankets courage are made of the same substance. If you’re committed to healing, your resolve is the same.

There’s no difference in moral courage and physical courage.

That's awesome! And such a great point. I am mostly housebound with illness so I can't exercise like I did the first time I got sober. So it's good to be able to find comfort, joy and strength at home too!

I love this!
