At the end of today, I see that I’ve survived

At the end of today, I see that I’ve survived. I was dreading a certain part but reached out to my network, gave my fears to my Higher Power and spoke on how I felt. I’m exhausted but in a good way but also going to stay up learning more about myself. I’m lonely though and weary that the sadness will come back at any moment.

Yup! Just keep doing the next right thing Man! It's really important to feel all those emotions...it's what you do with them that matters!

I’m learning just that this time around. Emotions are going to happen but it’s what I do with them that matters. Do I let them control me or do I feel them and work through them.

Nope! You can't let them control you! Feelings are just that. There's no right or wrong when it comes to emotions. That is why they're so confusing sometimes. But they're yours. Feel them...identify exactly what you're feeling and why and that'll help you get through them.

A little side note I learned in counseling, the two halves of a man's brain are not severed together. This is why you are not able to reason and feel emotions at the same time. Try to not make big decisions that will affect you when you're feeling something! It won't be a rational one

Wish I knew that the last year of my life. I would get so wrapped up in how I was feeling in the moment and then I would choose to go relapse and it has really hurt myself and others I care deeply about. I definitely can see that now more clearly. Thanks.

I'm sorry Man, it doesn't have to be that way anymore though! And you are very welcome my friend :hugs:
