At work today someone recognized me from when I used go to go to meetings while high and now that I have almost a year clean they had to ask me my name to make sure it was the same person because I have changed so much ( for the better) its super awesome to have compliments like that 
we don't see the visual changes in ourselves I think because we see ourselves daily for the most part so when someone compliments me like that it really means alot to me

Congratulations. People get TO recovery in so many different ways.. TRUST THE PROCESS AND THINGS WILL GET BETTER FOR YOU. IM IN AGREEMENT THAT YOUR DRINKING AND USING CAREER HAS BEEN RUINED AND RECOVERY HAS BECOME VERY PERSONAL AND YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO LONG TERM RECOVERY. ONE DAY AT A TIME. YOU CAN DO THIS
