Today was the 3month mark for having GPS ankle monitor on. But after checking my emails on a whim I see that my lawyer got the court to remove my Ankle monitor!! I didn't know he was working on it.
This is huge. Part of my sobriety and rediscovering the "old me" the version that my family, friend and I miss involves sober activities I couldn't do with the monitor on. I can finally go camping again, rock climb with my Lil sis. Go swimming with my friends and their kids. And being able to show the court and everyone in my life that given a little extra slack on my leash I will still continue to do the right thing. To make the right moves. And that I can l act appropriately without having to be restricted and so closely watched.
Next step is to complete my treatment program and start giving back anyway I can.
