Back at day 1

I relapsed after 20 days. I heard in a meeting today " it's easy to be sober when you're feeling good". The true test is remaining sober when you are not feeling good.

I keep coming back and I will continue to keep trying.

Thank you for the encouragement

We will always welcome you with open arms. Don’t be too hard on yourself, you at least come back many don’t get the chance to. Glad you are here :pray:t4:

Just get back on that horse Carissa. Are you working with a sponsor?

No, but I know I probably should.

And I'll say that when things are not going well, it's easier for me to stay away from booze because I KNOW things will get much worse very quickly if I drink. In the past, I have relapsed on vacation or during good times because I let my guard down. One day at a time we stay sober whether things are going well or poorly. I am happy you are back and sober today!

That's true. It takes work either way. I keep going back expecting different results-its insanity really. And the thing is I KNOW alcohol will NEVER be good for me.
