All good. We all started there and when we return, it only solidifies our commitment and courage.

Hey there - I just want to say that starting back at day one takes a lot of courage and even more to come here and admit it. Recovery isn’t easy but what matters is that you’re here and you’re willing to keep going. Take it one day at a time and don’t be too hard on yourself. Just don’t drink/use today and worry about tomorrow when it gets here and repeat and before you know it you’ll be stringing together those single days into considerable amounts of time!

Keep fighting the right fight. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and since you came back, my wish for you is that you know this is the only way. Sobriety, serenity and peace.

Quit trying to take back control. Surrender completely, admit utter defeat. Everything after that is how we put the past to rest and how we rebuild ourselves to become truly useful in this world. As they say, Step One is the only one we need do perfectly. Get a sponsor, make lots of meetings and work the steps.

Do you want to be known for your intentions or your actions? You know where your intentions got you. Just make sure you intentions are followed by action. That’s how you build trust.

I’ll get off my soapbox. If it helps, I like to think of my sobriety date as my new birthday or my rebirth. It’s where my new life began. God Bless

I’m back at day one again today. Drinking yesterday caused severe depression and a hangover. I hope that both of us can do this and not slip up again. It’s just not worth the mental anguish and headache. Good luck

Day 1 is SOOO much better than "one day." I had 500+ a few weeks ago and am back at week 3. I focus on today, not the string of numbers. Yesterday is past. Today I have every opportunity at my disposal and even sometimes a chance at making good of the bad by sharing my story, experience, heart etc with my fellow addict.
Congratulations on getting back up! We've got this!

Don’t forget or discount the past days you were sober. Those days are something you achieved so you Are strong and can do this! I am only 59 days sober so who’s to say I won’t do the same. We’re all in the same boat. Don’t feel alone.
