First ever post. My name is Anthony. I went to two rehab facilities in 2023 for alcoholism and completed both programs. The 2nd one ended in December 2023. I got a job an apartment, and was spending much time with my two kiddos (aged 8 and 5). Parks, Zoo, Aquarium, Run Jump N play, etc). No excuses but the divorce proceedings began in May and after 8 months of sobriety i relapsed basically for the rest of 2024. Im now sick and tired of waking up shaking and throwing up and needing a drink as soon as i wake up. I went into a 7 day detox program and just completed it. Im taking it super seriously this time. I HAVE TO BE WITH MY KIDS and in tip-top shape. I love them more than anything on this planet. Im not a fan of AA but i do like Smart Recovery, so i will be more in tune with a sober support network, because you cant do this alone. I hope you all can be a part of that community for me.
