I’m so angry at myself. I have known for 3 days it was going to happen. I felt it in my soul. Last night was terrible. It felt like my addiction was doing push-ups on my chest. Ugh!
Hi Tracee, those are the times that we reach out and plug in extra so that we don’t slip. It’s always a learning experience! Good luck!
Don’t punish yourself. Take care of yourself. They say the relapse happens before we pick up. That was true for me. Now I make sure I don’t what I have to to stay sober. Yes in the beginning when I came back I felt so much shame. But I have a great home group and they help me with that. The fact is if I am busy on my past I will not be present enough to do the work I need to do to stay sober
Tracee please listen to these women as they are very knowledgeable. If you ever need a one on one contact, send me a message here & I will give you my number.
Sounds like what they say is true as far as we’ve already relapsed before the relapse happens. The fact that you could feel it was going to happen shows the cunningness of our disease. Sending you all the strength and support to find your way back to recovery.
So hard. I understand. I am the same with you. Just keep busy
