You got this. You’re not alone. It happens, but you keep wanting to work on being sober. That’s the good part.

Been there. Glad you are right back at it! Way to get back up! The last time I slipped it took 3 months to stop.

Thank you I really appreciate your positive up lifting words

I HAVE to attend a meeting every day or I become complacent. This app is great but it’s not the same as a meeting. At first just listen if can’t yet talk. Eventually you will share and it will free you

Let it go. Start chopping wood again. The pile will grow.

This may not be a popular opinion, but hold on to that guilt. Write down your regrets to refer back to how you feel right now as a reminder. Remember it so you don't repeat it.

I had almost 9 years when I relapsed. It cost me 3 years of being out there. Now I have over eight.

So do you know why you relapsed? You drank because you believed the lie; that this time, everything would be okay. But it never is, is it?

Now you have more guilt to carry around and you have to start all over. Yes, I know what that feels like. It's like you got stabbed in the gut. I had almost 9 years and when I woke up the next morning I had an awful hangover that lasted for a couple of days.

When I finally came back into the program I went to meeting after meeting for months and then I finally figured out why I relapsed. The same reason that I just told you. I believed the lie; that this time, everything will be okay. But it wasn't.

Next time you have a desire to drink, and you will, you need to play the scene all the way forward and think about what you're feeling right now. The relief that you feel is very short lived but when you wake up you have more guilt to carry around just like you're doing right now and you have to start all over.

The good news is, if you don't drink and take it one day at a time and actually have a recovery plan in your life, the quality of life really does get better. I can truly testify to this.

Learn from it and move on. One day at a time.

This could be your last day one for ever. Keep reaching out.

One day at a time. Don’t let the enemy guilt you!
Back at it again, and stronger this time around :pray:t3:

It’s a new day and each day is new beginning. Let that guilt go and start fresh

Get to a meeting and listen. Look for the similarities and not the differences.
All any of us have is 24 hours. It’s never too late.

Truly inspiring to me. Thank you for that.

Never guilt yourself. We will always pick up if we don’t have a spiritual solution to replace our alcohol of choice. No matter how bad we want to stop for good. We are powerless. So it’s not your fault. I hope you get a sponsor and can get the solution my love.

Don’t beat yourself up
