Hopefully this scare will give you a boost. You really want to avoid a condition with your symptoms called Barret's esophagus, they likely went over it. It took me getting Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) from drinking a fifth of vodka every night and losing the feeling in my legs. Sounds like you are in the right place . I always found detoxing to be hardest part and medical detox is definitely the way to go. Perhaps the hospital you are at has such a program or try to find one closer they can transfer you to....mine consisted of being given Librium, hydroxyzine, clonidine, seraquel, and various IVs to make the symptoms as smooth as possible; just slept for the majority of four days while tinkering with my phone (some of these places allow your phone). Then most would recommend you get into a 30+ day rehab and/or start working a program such as AA or SMART. Good luck my man. Nice to see ya back on the wagon my friend
