I just finished a 30 day inpatient treatment for alcohol and opiates, it was actually an amazing experience after detox of course. The counselors were amazing, the nurses and patient group as well. Everyone is very non judgmental and humble bc they are all there for the same reason so they support you however possibly. It was an amazing loving environment, but now I am back to the real world where everyone isn’t so nice and triggers are everywhere. But I believe I did make a great connection with my higher power and I’ve been going to a lot of meetings. That’s what it took for me to get off of everything! I had to be completely immersed in recovery all day every day for a month. Trying to stay sober at home was far to difficult. Finding help from others and cultivating a good relationship w the higher power is essential and to do it all the time, no matter what. But I am a little scared of being home now because I know it’s cunning baffling and power!

Stay connected with the local groups. Get involved with meetings everyday. As you get further along you will be just fine. Congrats on the 30! That’s awesome.
Your a hero. Try and stay in the present moment as much as you can. Our past and future only exist as thoughts in our minds. If we can stay truly present we can get some relief from these thoughts, habbits and triggers. Peace man. Please reach out if you feel like you need help. We all want you to make it! Peace.
