Make your bed before you head out.
It’s a good start for sure
Have you read Admiral McRaven’s book make your bed
Yes!!! It's an amazing book.
The months leading up to my retirement I purchased a copy for all my interns. Their assignment was to read it, chew on it, absorb it and apply it to everyday life.
What branch did you retire from?
DHS. I was a 9/11 baby sworn in on the remains of tower 2.
You know my sponsor who posted away 3 years ago died at the age of 86 years old.
He died having been sober for 56 years. Used to say to me
( the first thing I should go every morning is make my bed )
If I didn't it was going to be a direct reflection of how my day was going to be.
He also said if I put my shoes under my bed every night I went to bed, I would have to get on my knees which would remind me to pray.
By praying that helped me to remember that he's in charge, not me.
He is right
Love this practice
It's funny how we all younger people in recovery think we have it all together. Lol
But those old times, there no joke.
Right ..
Yep!
That's what my daddy used to always say
Absolutely. It was a daily requirement in the 6 month Salvation Army rehab that i conquered. Still do it. Been clean going on 10 months now.
Congratulations on your 10 months
Who all is making their bed? It's more than what you sleep on
