Been sober 6 months

Looking for other sober people to chat with . Kind of been lone wolfing it. It would be cool just to have a few online friends. Never been needy in my life but hey doesn't hurt to ask for friendship.
I'm not a bot or anything.

6 months is awesome! I'm only coming up on 1 (not the 1st time) I havnt been to a meeting yet and not sure about that route for me. Still figuring myself out a bit and what works best for me. Ultimately it's your individual sobriety...if you wish to friend me I'd be honored to accept and maybe we can help each other I'm some way

Travis and Q I would highly recommend NA or AA. It is a community just like this online forum. It is a safe place to ask for help share struggles and get human contact respect understanding and a sense of belonging to something. Not only that, the people that attend those can be your "higher power" they have a collective consciousness that is unmatched in this world for our struggles. I've been sober for just over 2 years and last week was my first meeting and I must say, I think I've been missing out up until that point.

Great job. Good to reach out. Everyone is different, but support from others, whether "needed" or not, is good for all parties involved. I haven't been to meetings either (48 days sober, first and hopefully the last time) but have been considering it bases on so many recommendations. That said there are a bunch of folks on here that are alway here to offer advice and help other. It has been a help to me.
Keep it up.

Na.org they have zoom and in person

It is a group of like minded people. Together everyone has a twist or a story on ways to help. It's the collective knowledge that makes it an absolute privilege.

I have been to meetings in the past. While some I have very much enjoyed others not so much. I'm small town so it's a bit different. At the end of the day a group of people is still a group of people (good/bad/everything in between) all with different motives and outlooks. My favorite thing about AA is the one day at a time philosophy...and it being a safe place to vent where people will understand and be supportive (better to vent than drink/etc) I'm not the daily meeting type and I don't have to be...it's another AWESOME resource when I need it. There's days I need the gym more or walk my dog...see family...etc...it's all good
