Been sober for two days. It’s really hard.
I have a theory … the 2nd day is the hardest, in that you’ve committed. That’s the hardest thing committing yourself to new things, not just Sobriety. I’m proud of you. I for one am cheering you on. It gets better hang in there you’ll be glad you did.
Thank you so much🙏🏻
It will get easier... pray for the strength, and if you get the urge do something physical, Move a muscle, change a thought
Stay strong gets easier! You got this:call_me_hand:t3:

Take it one moment at a time, keep yourself busy and pray. You and do this, I promise!
Stick with it! You’re worth it!
It will get easier
Yes if you drink everyday it is definitely hard getting sober at first. The worst thing you can do is try to do this on your own. If you don't think you can do it on your own then you may need to seek treatment depending on how much you drink everyday. Most people on here have not crossed over into severe alcoholism yet
As long as their blood pressure doesn't get out of control they can usually curb the cravings with some sweets like OJ and honey.
Start getting to some meetings and building your support group. Converse with some people that have been there.
And whatever you do, don't pick up the first drink because it's a big fat lie and will only make things worse and then you'll have to start all over again.
The best decision I ever made was to give up drinking. I started going to AA meetings, got a sponsor and took the 12 steps.
Today I have a great life!
Love the honesty…you are stronger than you think! Eat a piece of chocolate if you need something to distract
It's definitely hard but totally worth it. You can do it! Meetings, raise your hand and say you are new, most times they will pass around a pamphlet for women to put their numbers on and give it to you. Build your sober network. I wish you luck on your sober journey
You got this… get on your knees and give it to God🙏 it worked for me.. miracles will start to happen.
U r worth it
God will get you thru it just pray and put your trust in Him
Ester, it isn’t an easy thing what you and all of us are doing. But with that being said it does get easier just take it day by day, early on I was taking it hour by hour. You are doing the right thing by finding a recovery community. What help me was finding a meeting to go to rather it’s in person or a zoom meeting (I do a combination of the two), if you are not ready for an in person meeting Lionrock recovery is what I use when I’m not able to make my local meetings. Ester you can do this, don’t give up lean on us for help.
I’m on day eight and golden you’ll be in the next day or so…hang in there…been there many times…and I remind myself as best as I can to remember how hard it is to get out…I feel for you
Meetings make it less hard 🤷
The beginning of a journey! If you convince yourself to keep going, it will be so worth it!
It gets easier
Have you been to a meeting?
