Been trying to get sober for three years. How pathetic is that. Can anyone give me any tips. What helps you?
Not pathetic. Just your journey. Keep trying. Meetings, sponsor. Get in the middle of the sober heard.
The best help I get is when I give myself grace for not being perfect. It is not always easy, to be sure!
I too felt so frustrated; wanting to quit & trying so many times I read Allen Carr … Quit the Easy Way & it really change my perspective on alcohol
I write poetry. Apparently I’m pretty good, say my few fans.
The reactions I receive are the best feelings ever. Better than any drug. Alcohol is also a drug.
Absolutely, not pathetic. This sober stuff is difficult as heck.
It’s not Pathic you just have to say ebook is ebook or I took life hits you so hard that you quite kids like keening your Leserin g but what would I know
AA, a higher power, and sober friends
I tried from 2020 to 2023, no periods of sobriety longer than 12 days. I am 8 months now. Feels good, but I couldn't have gotten here without all that I learned from my other attempts. Relapse is not everyone's story but it is the story of many who have achieved significant periods of time. Despite setbacks you are still trying. You can be proud of not giving up.
Pathetic?? Not at all! Long as ur trying and you got the want the rest will fall into place!
