After a couple years back to drinking i finally realized in no longer suits me, better late than never I guess. Finding what to do with all this free time has been the only barrier, any suggestions ?
Paint, hike, find a local restaurant that you can walk to and read a book while you eat. Date yourself. Take a class at the local community College. Volunteer at church, start a meal ministry, explore different styles of exercise. Go see a movie.
Distract yourself and try out different things and see what you like.
Very solid plan!
Praying you find joy in this journey
Welcome back. I suggest daily in person meetings, making new sober friends, step work and service. That’s how I built a new life worth living.
I stayed busy in the AA program. Being idle in my old life didn’t work for me.
It’s an invite into stepping back into it without it. Im hoping it sticks this time!!
Robert, it’s about DOING the right actions. Hoping didn’t get me any where.
I’m here if you want to talk
Don't forget all the time you didn't relapse! So you know it can happen for you. You've had it before!
It’s ALWAYS better late than never. You got this!
