Wife and I took our 10 month old grandson out for a trip to the hardware store and lunch Saturday. Such a joy to see new eyes take everything in. I’d never be experiencing this if i had stayed with alcohol. 450+ days sober and never going back to where i was!!

A hardware store and lunch with a 10 month old. That’s a regular Saturday and the kind of day that addiction tired to steal from you. 450+ days means your grandson has never known a version of you that wasn’t present, and that’s something he’ll carry even if he never remembers this specific trip. Glad you’re sharing with us.
Thanks for the affirmation Crissy. Your comment really brought it home “That’s a normal day addiction tried to steal.” I’ve had so many stolen days/moments I want to fill up my time with good ones now.
