Speaking tonight at 7 pm in Lafayette California and again tomorrow at noon in San Jose.
I’m very blessed to have these kinds of opportunities to be of service. Also, this is one of my fears which is public speaking. The more I do the work (steps) the easier life becomes. My fear of what others think of me is slipping away. Being in the here and now seems to be the best option.
Last night I had the best time and one awesome God shot. I was waiting at a burger joint for a sponsee to show up when the owner of the burger joint was cleaning up and I started a conversation with him. Turns out he’s in the program and just got a year a few weeks ago. We ended up talking about sobriety for about 40 minutes. Sponsee showed up and that was a great meeting. Gave him some spread sheets to get started on his 4th step and went over chapter 5 how it works. Love when they read the third step prayer for the first time. It’s gives me the strength to keep working this program. And I feel the sense of relief that everything will workout just the way it’s supposed. Well no matter what I’m still sober.
Another Sponsee called this morning to tell me that he spoke at a early morning meeting with a lot of older people and parents of children that are having trouble with drugs and alcohol. He was excited and just may have given some people the hope they need to seek this program. Carrying this message! I’m super happy to be able to sponsor this young man. At 19 years old he has a lot of life ahead.
