Belief and faith in God are necessary to the alcoholic; in them he finds the solution of a happy, sober life. They bring him peace of mind; an active, useful life; strength and understanding to combat his daily problems; the power to resist alcohol; the ability to develop mental and spiritual health; the opportunity to amend his past errors.
