This is one of the better quotes in the AA Bible.
That's a whole message right there.
Some, myself included, would say that applies to the Big Book itself - lol. How many meetings have I been to, to endure a "thumper" the big book says this, the big book says that... bogged down in details in a book which in reality is more fiction and parables than the straightforward truth...
But here's my favorite -

If I took JUST THAT away from the Big Book. Took THAT to heart. If no other words were printed.
I'd live a pretty good life.
