I've firmly replaced my addictions with eating. Been struggling with sugar and junk food. I've gained weight and feel bad about it. Been trying everything. Firmly sober but cross addictions are a real thing and I'm going through it.
I agree and you're not alone I'm going through it too
Definitely not alone in this. I am two years sober and the food addiction is rough! Doctor might assist you with glp-1 or a prescription to help. Never hurts to ask.
Yup
Cookies and coffee have replaced drinking and smoking
I know it’s better but I’m gonna have to try harder
Still proud to be sober
I go through this too! Best thing I find is to try to have healthy snacks and low or no sugar drinks. Air popped popcorn with a little olive oil and garlic salt or seasoned salt (depending on your blood pressure) is my go-to.
Also I try to set portion limits and cut off times for night time snacking.
Still working on cutting back and losing weight. But I am disabled and unable to exercise so it's tricky.
