Birthday weekend

Asking for some reassurance and strength that I get through this weekend sober. It’ll be my first sober birthday in years. Shifting my focus and reaching out should help me stay on the right path. I should be celebrating my life, not poisoning myself for temporary “fun” thanks all!

I don’t know if it helps but I made it through my 21st birthday sober. Looking back I’m really proud of my younger self! I also see that I had so much more fun sober than not. I mean I’ve had sober birthdays since then that I enjoyed too . When it’s over it’ll be a memory. How does that memory be made a good one?

Happy Birthday! Hope you do something fun to celebrate your strength in sobriety. Staying sober is truly the best gift you can continue to give yourself  on celebratory occasions I like to treat myself to a nice meal and/or a fancy non-alcoholic drink. Lots of ways to enjoy without drinking.

Same, Libra season! I’m definitely looking forward to a sober birthday. Definitely feel the temptation for “just one drink” but I’m going to avoid that one because Ik it’ll lead to another and so on. Best to have a good memory and celebrate life not poisoning it

Happy Birthday, Sara. Do something different this year. A picnic in a park & then a movie? You around any hiking trails? Buy yourself a nice pen & a nice journal, sit w yourself for a moment, reflect on a few things that bring you joy, write down a few goals that you know will make you feel good when you accomplish them. Brew yourself some tea in the evening. Listen a bit of music that moves you.
Life is good, Sara. Health, wealth, love, bliss, momentum. . .

Happy birthday! Just celebrated my first bday in sobriety and that’s the best gift you can give yourself. Staying sober and actually being present in whatever activity you do

Are you baking? Could be a great time to go all in on a dream cake and ice cream.

Just remember that when you get a craving your head is telling you that everything will be okay this time. But it never is, is it? It's called believing the LIE.

I'm over 8 years sober and I still use the phone to call AA people every week. I still go to meetings.
