I need to stop I want to stop I just don’t know how
Either do it inpatient program or do it outpatient program the program in itself will teach you how to stay clean hearing other peoples stories and getting other peoples percent perspective on the recovery might work for you. Try that. If you can’t leave your job, do outpatient recovery if you have the time and resources to do inpatient recovery it is more intense, but it is well needed all in all six Sober support have Sober friends let go of the friends that you just use with stay away from people, places, and things that would cause you to slip fault or do drugs or drink. I hope this helps. I’ll be praying for you.
GO TO MEETINGS. You will find people who want nothing from you other than your willingness to be helped!
I always recommend the steps I took. Speak with your Dr and ask for recommendations on treatment centers. Once you speak to them they will help with a recovery plan. Don’t resist it and take what you can. The disease/addiction will take everything from you… fight for your life! You’re worth it!
For me it was not enough to know I wanted and needed to stop. I had to take action. During a bender I went to the hospital cause I was scared of how bad withdrawal was going to be. They offered me detox. I agreed. Upon being released from detox, I went to 90 meetings in 90 days. Absolutely the right thing for me. Stay resolute and you will get there.
Detox is how I started
I started listening to every podcast starting at #1. They’re helpful. Check out the Loosid stories.
I’m about to go into my second meeting with group discussion. I went yesterday too.
My biggest step is I had to be sick and tired of being sick and tired, I needed to want change.
