Blew a .38

Well I relapsed at work after four months sober, the day before I was going to become a manager woke up in a hospital not remembering anything, and definetly didn't finish my shift at work. after putting peices together I realized I was fired, and without a bed at my treatment center.

But that's okay because now I got a sponsor for my first time and in a nice sober house and I'll have a different job soon.

Hang in there Liam. My charm was the third time! First time sober 2yrs, second time 1yr. I was close to dying when I sobered up the last time and that was 5 yrs ago now. I have never really heard anyone talk about this but, I finally figured out and ACCEPTED what was making me drink. I was an alcoholic for 17yrs and nothing I tried worked til I finally figured it out! The booze was my crutch. Not my real problem. I like booze. Still do. I enjoy those fancy little drinks or cocktails BUT I don’t do them anymore. I’m afraid if I do, it will reset all the reasons I started drinking to begin with. Wow! Chicken and the egg!! Have conversations with yourself and see if you can figure out what the alcohol is disguising or pushing down. Just a thought. Blessings to you and your recovery.

Good attitude. Great show of acceptance and patience. Take care of yourself, buddy!
