Booze and the kitchen

I love to cook! It’s one of my passions and most joyful escapes.
I want to make a cheesecake for a friend. Her favorite cheesecake is a Baileys Irish cream cheese cake.
I’ve only been sober for a month. And, barely gotten a sponsor.
What’s the “protocol” about cooking with booze?
Please, give me your opinions on this. Thank you!

The question is can you cook with it and avoid temptation? I keep a couple good bottles in the house for cooking, but I can do that and maintain sobriety. Not everyone can. I'm early sobriety it might be to big a risk. You might find an NA Irish cream.

I would not put myself in that situation so early on in your sobriety.

A twist on the situation...

I love to cook and one of the things I have done throughout my sobriety is to figure out ways to mimic alcohol-based dishes using substitutes. The challenge keeps me engaged and I don't have to worry about having booze around.
