Building mental resilience through fasting

I started a 60 hour fast last night at 1800. Im 16.5 hours in right now, and feeling fine, my body is entering ketosis, and autophagy has started. No real hunger this morning, but im sure as the day wanes on, ill feel a bit of hunger, and probably into the night. The mental resilience to avoid alcohol for 77 days has gone hand in hand with fasting, and will continue ti do so. I use fasting as a sort of “supplement” to focus on, and remind myself whats best for me, and getting my health back.

What are the benefits to such a long fast ? And good job on the 77 days !!

Thank you! There are many benefits, resetting microbiome, autophagy peaks at around 72 hours, but I find 60 is where I’m able to recover most efficiently, it’s a great total reset for my body, and my mind. Immune system is completely reset by 60 hours, heavy ketosis happens, etc.

It's also a detox at the same time. Fasting flushes out all of the heavy metals and toxins we are being poisoned with
