Building yourself a support system is, in my opinion, 100 % necessary. No one said sobriety is easy but with love and support, it goes a long way to making it more tolerable. Sobriety is a choice you make every day. Your support system can look any way you way want it to.
Well duh…
(Just playin)
You might be surprised by the number of people who have NO support. I'm just trying to be upbeat and positive.
I talk to my support system daily! My brain is broken, and my “smart ideas” tend to get me in trouble.
No I was just playing with you.
If you can’t get love and support from normies, you gotta get it from your recovery people. There is a ton of support that is available. Can’t do it on your own.
I was just poking fun, because we say it over and over and over. You gotta get help. You can’t do it on your own. Like Kevin always says “get plugged in”.
Duh right. It’s simple.
“I don’t have supportive people around me”should never be an excuse for not staying sober.
It’s not easy to build one. You bar buddies are not exactly pillars of sobriety. Coworker don’t need to know. It can be a challenge for sure.
That's why these types of outlets are so important.
