That is the addiction trying to lie to you. Play the tape to the end. You use… then what? Had your life been better you wouldn’t want to be sober. If you could control your actions, behaviors, and intentions you wouldn’t need to be sober. Don’t listen to the voice. It is false! This thing has one goal, to destroy your life.

Congrats on 4 months :confetti_ball: :tada: As Tim said, that voice is the mental part of addiction. You can overcome that by working on your spirituality. You are already taking care of the physical part by remaining abstinent. Hopefully you are plugged into o recovery program that is helping you grow spiritually one day at a time. The point of all of this is to live a happy and peaceful life without alcohol. It’s a process. You can do it

That is, 100%, the disease talking. It’s cunning, baffling, powerful. Do not listen to it. You’re important, you matter, and your life has purpose. Everything may not be clear to you yet but in time all the reasons to stay sober do become clear. Today just focus on not picking up. Don’t future-trip. You got this.
