Came here to post something deep about life, sobriety, accomplishments. But then I got a little sad that I'm approaching a year and no one in my "real life" outwardly gives a cr@p. I'm so much more popular online :grinning:

We see you! Those ā€œreal lifeā€ people will never understand us like we understand us. You’re doing a great job and helping others. Maybe we are real life lol

Thanks!

I mean…a dog that can type is impressive. There aren’t many real world situations where you can show that skill. Haha it’s alright man! We don’t need recognition to know we’re making the best choice for OUR life. Keep going strong!

We're in your real life; and we're happy for you! Happy early birthday.

I’m super happy for you!!!! Keep up the strong work, and I assure you, you’re better off sober, than not!

Ask yourself this… Are you happy about your sobriety? That’s what matters. Nothing needs to be proven to anyone, but yourself. Congrats.

We’re our own breed, and we look out for one another, and will celebrate your successes with you! Coming up on a year is freaking AMAZING!

Tell us your deep thoughts and accomplishments! Gotta be sober for you. As they say 'what others think of us is none of our fcking business!"
And "Those amongst us no explanation is necessary
Those not amongst us, no explanation is possible"

Thanks for sharing this and congratulations :tada: :star_struck: it inspires me to keep going. I feel the same with those around me, unless you’ve lived it, you just don’t get it. And finding this app has made a world of difference for me to share.

Thank you. It would just be nice to hear "hey, good job, proud of you" fron people that claim to love you, ya know?

Yes, definitely for me. 100%
I used to only think it was for my kids, but a better me is better for them, so double win!

Thank you!!! Side note, I first read this as "we're our own BREAD" and started thinking about cool, cryptic metaphors about life and bread. :grinning:

That’s too funny. Ironically, I have to be gluten free, so I eat different BREAD than people who don’t have food allergies.

Totally agree. It’s ok to want people to encourage you. Sometimes it’s disappointing those we think are close to us feel out of touch. But we see and hear you here
