Can someone please pray for me. I have no family

Can someone please pray for me. I have no family other than my seven year old daughter. & my xhusband is a worse alcoholic than I am. I need to get sober for HER. I’m struggling so bad. I work midnights & get off at 6am. Only thing that puts me to bed is alcohol. I need advice. Meetings do don’t work for me. Only make the craving worse.

I said a prayer. I had to explain my problem to my 11 year old son last year at this time. We had a camping trip scheduled, and suddenly, Daddy, who drives big trucks, wasn't even allowed to drive to the campgrounds. I lost my license a week prior due to an emotional birthday drunk (child manipulation was a factor). I had been selfish. I made accommodations, and we still went camping. I told him daddy got in trouble and that I am not drinking anymore because I need to be a better daddy for him and his little brother. He did state that I was already a good daddy.

I hope this helps, but we have all been where you are in one way or another.-prayers sent

Thoughts are with you. Always here

How often were you going to meetings? Did you get phone numbers at them? Did you make a sober support system? You have to do that. It's imperative. Prayers haven't worked so far anyway. Please give meetings another try, but make some real connections.

Sending strength and hoping you are able to move forward with sobriety. Keep reminding yourself of the reasons you need to be sober. You can do this.

U have all of us being sober is a we program so you’ll always have me . One big family in AA or whatever program of your choice .

We alcoholics often want instant gratification. But it doesn’t work that way. It’s a process. If it was easy everyone would do it.

I will mention you. You can talk to God/angels/saints. Try letting them reply using your voice. It works for me. Maybe ask first for faith if you've been feeling hopeless. It's on God to prove Himself, not our will to believe. I sound crazy, but IT IS CRAZY!

Sending Prayers !!!! :pray:t4::pray:t4:

I pray for you everyday.

I pray for you every day. It just me.. no family. I’ve chosen my family - if I did not have the support in the rooms of AA I would not make it. No woman is an island. I’m meant to be with people, help them and let them help me. :purple_heart:

Meetings never worked for me prior to this time because in the back of my mind there was always a small hope that I could one day drink again. This time I completely surrendered to alcohol. I pray every morning and ask god to stay between me and a drink and to lift my obsession today. To do his will and not my own. At night, regardless of what happened that day I thank him. I will add you to my prayer list.

You're on the right track. Through God all things are possible. I trust God will give you a solution.

He who created and maintains the entire universe and beyond can surely help His struggling child.

Have you tried instead of praying for yourself, pray for your daughter? Pray to give her the mother she deserves. The life she deserves. The father she deserves. Maybe pray for your ex husband as well. Pray night and day! When you pray for and love others, it will bring you peace. God is always working.
