Thank you! It truly means a lot to read that.

Hey Chito,
I read in my NA blue book this morning about how using isolates and it couldn’t be more truer. It was really cool to see others at an NA meeting and when they shared it felt like connection to someone. I’m wishing you a good day and hope you can do one thing even if it’s small for your recovery.

Yeah, that pull to isolation is so huge and hard to combat when down and out! I plan to do many things today for my recovery and this connection is one of them! Hope you have a great day today, Ryan :fist:t4:!

Isolation is pretty standard, we are used to retreating by ourselves so we can get drunk or high by ourselves. For recovery you've got to force yourself to find a group I don't know anyone who's maintained sobriety all on their own

I agree :100: and that’s why I’m taking some good steps to surround myself around good people

Welcome back. I tried quitting before on my own and only lasted 2 months decided to join a community to help me with the struggle of alcohol

Curious, what community and how did you find?

We’re all here for you. You’re in the right place

I communicate through Loossid and it has helped me through my struggles with quitting. My biggest struggle is my work place so when i know i am getting the let’s go out tonight feeling, I open up the app and get inspiration from others who are finding sobriety. Additionally, my brother helps me a lot with holding myself accountable for my decision making. He to had a really bad drinking problem so he is a great person for support as well

Chito, I’m happy for you! There is no need to fight this battle of addiction alone! Our addiction wants us alone, miserable and weak, so it can take over again and again!
The sober community is stronger unified. We help each other.
Are you ready to work a real program?
I’m here if you want to talk or have any questions

Hi Chito ! Welcome back to the world of sober living. Isolation comes with being an alcoholic at first, because our addiction led us to feel like we couldn’t do life without it. Once you get more comfortable with seeing how much clarity and health you will have gained from being sober you can continue to make a choice to react to your desire to drink, and your thoughts Will change. It takes a lot of fighting every day to choose an alternative that’s safer than drinking. For me it’s always keeping a nonalcoholic beverage with me when I go out to social events, and or having lots of non-alcoholic beverages in my home..

Thank you so much! This time around I’m not feeling alone after all this support.

Solid advice! I got Coke Zeros in the house for that exact reason. I need to learn how to be social and adventurous again cause all I’ve been doing is working and home though

This is the best place to not feel alone, we are here for you!

Thank you so much
